Rallycross

Rallycross is racing on tarmac and a loose surface and was made famous by Murray Walker many years ago when the BBC used to broadcast Rallycross from Lydden Hill on Grandstand on a Saturday afternoon.  Blyton has its own 1 mile Rallycross circuit which hosted two rounds of the 2010 British Rallycross Championship. At last Rallycross seems to be growing again with an enthusiastic new promoter based at Lydden Hill its spiritual home in Kent. Again if you browse our Gallery you can see action from last year including our spectacular night racing in June ,when the whole circuit was floodlit  for the first ever Rallycross Championship round run in the dark. Please also look at our Motorsports calendar for details of the 2011 events which will feature another event “in the dark”. See www.rallycrossuk.com and www.mini-cross.co.uk
